Pharma Bro Cries Like a Mom Who Can’t Afford Her Kids Medication — Goes to Prison

No one will be crying about this one -- except for Martin Shkreli who has been sentenced to seven years in prison for defrauding investors, U.S. District Judge Kiyo Matsumoto roughly splitting the difference between what prosecutors and defense attorneys had asked for. The former hedge fund manager showed little reaction to the sentence. He will receive credit for the six months he has served while awaiting sentencing. Exploring American society with original content and analysis, as well as through the lens of curated news and articles from various publications, which we summarize into a quickly digestible bite so you can stay plugged in without getting mired down.

We have been called a news aggregator, but really, we are just trying to tell a story. Our story–who we are and how we got here. We have a whole lot more than that in store, however, so please consider helping us in that effort by visiting the FY Store, or with a donation via Patreon

There is a lot of noise out there and we are attempting to sift through it and bring you only the stories that relate to your society and the future we are building together.

For Your Society is a media organization that brings you curated news from trusted and reputable sources. We encourage you to support these publications and their journalists by subscribing to their services. Our intent is to stand up for facts, and to present them in an appealing and condensed way that doesn’t waste your whole day. We bring you news that focuses on politics, American culture, foreign policy and the world, science and more.

We also produce podcasts focusing on facets of American society. Premiering soon will be a new series called Whiskey and Immigrants, in which we sit down with real immigrants to hear their stories. Shortly after that we will debut a podcast unlike any other, called Unite or Die. We’re keeping the details of that one under wraps, but we think it will truly benefit society.

We try not to be too annoying with ads or pop-ups, so we mostly rely on your purchases from the FY Society Store and donations through Patreon to sustain our non-profit operations, please consider doing what you can.
